The £1 is of no indication as to the value. Legally some money has to change hands and a £1 is the minimum. In order to get the deal done ASAP McCabe took the £1 for his investment.
Sheffield United are on the up, we need to take this one step at a time and not expect multi-millions all at once.

The agreement is that he buys a 50% stake in the club for £1 but must provide funds when needed. It's actually in the contract that we get to the premier league "as soon as practicable" so we can expect good quality signings and many improvements bankrolled by the prince.

The majority of the benefits of the prince coming in probably won't be seen until we get to the championship. League One is very different to the upper two leagues and has different rules that we must stick to but once we get to the championship that's when we can really start spending some good money on great players.

There are ways round the fair play rule! how do others do it? 1 way is his company could sponsor united for 10 million say. that then is 10 million cumin into the club which we can spend 65 percent of! sorted

The rule is you can only spend 60% of your clubs revenue on wages. but if the Prince were to sponsor us for say, £10,000,000 then we could spend £6,000,000 on wages! BOOM! Unlikely, but it'd be within the rules!
